    Sean Peng, CFA, CPA, MBA

    Cloud 9 foot Spa Founder and CEO

    2010 – Present

    Cloud 9 Foot Spa founder and CEO Sean Peng understands what the power of vision and hard work can accomplish. Sean grew up in rural China, and his childhood included daily survival challenges that taught him essential values like persistence, perseverance, and an eye for opportunity.

    That opportunity came years later, after Sean had moved to the U.S., graduated from Texas A&M University with an MBA, and accumulated more than a decade of experience in international trade, e-commerce, and other business essentials.

    While frequently traveling internationally for business development, Sean discovered and experienced the growing phenomenon of the foot spa industry, which had become a transformative force flourishing business with a growing presence from one end of China to the other.

    He saw the potential in introducing this new health sensation to the U.S., and in 2010, his first Foot Spa location opened in the heart of Silicon Valley of San Francisco bay area for business. Today, there are 8 locations (Oceanic and Cloud 9 Foot Spa) across California, Texas and Washington, with more on the horizon.

    2010 – Present

    In 2010, we ventured into the foot spa business with no prior experience in the industry. While I initially envisioned a small space to accommodate 3-4 therapists for our very first spa, my husband Sean aimed higher. He envisioned reaching mainstream America. As a result, we established the largest foot spa in the San Francisco Bay Area at the time. After six months of relentless hard work, our spa became one of the most frequented establishments in the region.

    Driven by our belief in the potential of serving families, we expanded our business to include more locations across California, Texas, and Washington.

    As a first-generation immigrant, witnessing Cloud 9’s success fills me with joy, and I take great pride in serving families. Despite being a mother of four, ranging from a 4-year-old to a 24-year-old, I am invigorated by Cloud 9’s continuous growth every single day. My passion lies in making massage accessible to all while empowering more entrepreneurs to realize their dreams.

    I joined the Cloud 9 team at the young age of 21 and was struck by the warm and welcoming family-oriented atmosphere. Cloud 9 became my second home and has always been a place where my voice was heard and my contributions were valued from the start.

    Cloud 9’s culture was built to nurture, where building upon trust was fundamental and taking initiatives led to impactful opportunities. Inspired by Sean’s passion, generosity, and exemplary leadership, I too could not help but to ignite a strong dedication and vision for Cloud 9’s growth and impact in the industry.

    I feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to contribute to something so meaningful. To have helped build something from the start, making so many memories with our team along the way has made me who I am today.

    My Vision for Cloud 9 Foot Spa is for it to become a bridge to connect people. Cloud 9 is not only a place where friends and families can come together to enjoy wellness, but a place of opportunities. A place built on nurturing and uplifting everyone to their fullest potential.

I strive to ensure that every guest who walks through our doors feels relaxed and cared for. I work closely with the front desk team to ensure that they are providing the highest level of service to our guests and sharing those stories. I am dedicated to helping our spa grow and thrive through future franchisees.

      Our family has lived in Dallas, Texas for over two decades. My name is James and I currently serve as a project manager at a tech company, while my wife Julie has retired from her career as a CPA. We’re blessed with three daughters: Michelle, Melody, and Melinda. Michelle finds joy in both reading and drawing, Melody is currently pursuing her education at UC Berkeley, and Melinda is a sophomore at The Hockaday School.
